Brewery Opening Checklist

  • Pre-Shift
  • * Check the keg inventory and ensure there's enough beer to last the night.

    * Make sure the taps are clean and flowing smoothly.

    * Set up the bar area with glasses, napkins, and coasters.

    * Greet the first customer with a warm "Welcome to the Brewhouse! We're glad you're here!" (Even if it's just your mom.)

  • During Shift
  • * Serve beer with a smile and a witty quip. ("This IPA is so hoppy, it'll make your tongue dance like a drunken leprechaun!")

    * Keep an eye on the taps and refill them as needed.

    * Clean up spills and keep the bar area tidy.

    * Engage with customers and make them feel like they're part of the brewery family. ("Hey, you look like you could use a refill. On the house, because you're the spitting image of my long-lost cousin, Bob.")

  • Post-Shift
  • * Clean the taps and bar area thoroughly.

    * Count the remaining kegs and reconcile the inventory.

    * Lock up the brewery and set the alarm.

    * Go home and dream of beer-soaked adventures.

    Brewery Closing Checklist

  • Pre-Shift
  • * Check the keg inventory and ensure there's enough beer to last the night. (Just kidding, it's closing time!)

    * Make sure the taps are clean and flowing smoothly. (Again, just kidding.)

    * Set up the bar area with glasses, napkins, and coasters. (Nope, not this time either.)

  • During Shift
  • * Serve beer with a smile and a witty quip. ("This last pint is on us, because we're closing and we want to get rid of all this beer before it goes bad.")

    * Keep an eye on the taps and refill them as needed. (Not really, since they're all empty.)

    * Clean up spills and keep the bar area tidy. (Who cares, we're closing!)

    * Engage with customers and make them feel like they're part of the brewery family. ("Hey, you're the last one here! Let's take a selfie together and post it on Instagram with the hashtag #lastcall.")

  • Post-Shift
  • * Clean the taps and bar area thoroughly. (Maybe.)

    * Count the remaining kegs and reconcile the inventory. (Who has time for that?)

    * Lock up the brewery and set the alarm. (If we remember.)

    * Go home and dream of beer-soaked adventures. (Or just sleep, because we're exhausted.)
